POSTAGE |
UK DELIVERY £4 PER PRINT (unless stated otherwise) |
For
normal orders postage is added to the shopping cart automatically.
The cost is calculated from the size of your purchase and the destination
country.
Print orders will normally be processed within 7 days.
Prints
are dispatched by first class mail or courier within Europe or by
international airmail as appropriate. This
should mean that you
should receive your order, subject
to any customs delays, within 10 working days.
I do not currently ship to Ukraine, Indonesia, Yugoslavia, Lithuania,
Egypt, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Nigeria,
Morocco, Vietnam or Israel.
Non UK delivery of canvas prints
Canvas print orders with a delivery address outside the United Kingdom will be sent unstretched and rolled in a tube. As such they are much better protected. It is cheaper to get the canvas stretched by your local framer than pay for crating and shipping of fragile flat artwork. |
PACKAGING
All items are shipped in either large diameter postal tubes or flat
in sturdy packages to ensure your order arrives undamaged. Each
print is individually wrapped in acid-free tissue paper. Your
print will arrive well-packaged ready for framing by your local
frame shop.
INSURANCE
The prints will not necessarily be insured whilst in transit. You
could check whether you are covered on your own insurance. Some
policies might cover goods in transit as standard.
CUSTOMS
Customs and import
duties are not included. The customer is responsible for the payment
of surcharges. Any customs or import duties are levied once the
package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance
must be borne by you as I have no control over these charges and
cannot predict what they might be. Since customs policies vary from
country to country you may want to contact your local customs office
for further information.
RUSH ORDERING
Rush
orders can be processed subject
to prior commitments. These are by special request and may cost
extra. Email or phone to see if an urgent delivery can be made.

You might ask,
"What is a Giclée print?"
Giclée is a French term meaning "spraying of ink." Printing directly
from information obtained from the original painting. Digital printers
can spray microscopic drops of color onto fine art papers or canvases.
Displaying the full color spectrum, these artworks have vibrant colors
and a velvety texture. The prints are published are on Somerset Velvet
watercolour paper (330 grams). This method can achieve tremendous
detail. Traditional "Litho printing" typically uses a resolution
of 300 dots of pigment per inch, whereas Giclee Iris printers can
achieve 1800dpi. |
How
to handle and frame your prints |
|
PAPER PRINTS
Clearly because it is on paper your Giclée print is very delicate
and must not be exposed to moisture. Handle the print as carefully
as you would an original watercolour taking special care to avoid
any contact with water or mist. Clean and dry your hands thoroughly
before touching it.
Ideally you should frame your print using acid free, conservation
mount board and ultraviolet filtered glazing. For the preservation
of your print please hang it in an area that is free from strong
light and humidity. You might like to use reflection reduction glass
if you are hanging opposite a window or bright lights.
If your giclée print has been handled properly you should enjoy
many years of pleasurable viewing.
CANVAS PRINTS
Block canvas prints are designed to be hung either framed or unframed.
Board-backed canvas prints are designed for framing. Neither type
of print requires glazing. For the preservation of your print please
hang it in an area that is free from strong light and humidity.

Limited
edition print return procedure - offer of refund
|
|
Always
inspect any received package thoroughly before accepting / signing
for it.
Please
don't panic
In the unlikely
event that you are dissatisfied with the product or it has been
damaged in transit, then you have the choice upon returning the
goods of:
- a replacement
(stocks allowing)
- a full refund
WorldPay the
card payment processors for my website operate a refund policy.
Returning undamaged
or unsuitable items
Under
new distance selling regulations you have a seven-day
cooling off period after you have received goods in which
to notify me that the print does not
match up to your expectations. If not completely satisfied
the print must be promptly returned within
30 days of receipt. The print must be packed carefully
using the outward packaging as it may not be possible to offer a
refund or replacement for any goods, which are damaged during return
transit.
Once I have received the carefully returned item, I
guarantee to refund 100% of the print's purchase price and your
postage expenses incurred during its return.
(Please send an invoice with postage receipts).
What to do if
a parcel is damaged in transit
Inspect any received package thoroughly
before accepting / signing for it.
You must make a note of any damage on the delivery
record. If you do not the couriers will argue that the shipment
was delivered in good condition. In order for them to consider a
claim for damage, the contents, original shipping carton and packing
must be available for inspection.
If the package appears to have suffered shipping damage:
- notify me
immediately
- promptly
contact the shipping company for a damage inspection report
- request that
the shipping company return the merchandise
- keep the
original shipping carton and packaging
